Soil genesis, commonly termed pedogenesis, is the elaborate process by which soils are formed. This continuous transformation involves the interaction of numerous factors, including climate, topography, parent material, biomass, and time. These factors act in a collective manner to shape the physical, chemical, and biological properties of soil.
